The eloquence of Islamic education in local culture, especially in Java, offers a unique lens for understanding the formation of community character. This study stems from the lack of research that specifically explores the relationship between Islamic values and Javanese customs, especially in the context of pamali in Wonosobo Regency. This article aims to explore the eloquence of Islamic education in Javanese customs in Wonosobo Regency, which previous researchers have not studied. A qualitative research setting with descriptive analysis was chosen to describe the problems found in related manuscripts and writings. The results show that pamali is an important component of Javanese culture because it includes many prohibitions and restrictions in behavior, language, and social life, which contain Islamic educational values. Pamali plays an important role in maintaining manners, traditions, and harmony in Javanese society, even though some pamali rules have changed and been adapted over time. These findings confirm the concept of pamali habitus, which values the environment, social relationships, and traditional values that continue to shape the character of society. The novelty of this research lies in its focus on taboos as a habitus in their central role in Islamic education.
