Analisis Peran Gender dalam Pembentukan Keluarga Sakinah Bagi Pasangan Karir di RS Hawari Essa

Abstract

Although in general the obligation to work or earn a living is placed on the husband, in reality there are many wives who work outside the home for various reasons, one of which is due to family economic problems. as happened to a career family couple at Hawari Essa Kajen Hospital, Kec. Lebaksiu. This research aims to answer what are the main challenges faced by married couples in maintaining harmony in the sakinah family and what are the roles of gender in forming a sakinah family according to Islamic law. In this study, researchers used a comparative method, namely by describing or explaining the phenomenon of gender roles in forming a sakinah family in career couples at Hawari Essa Kajen Hospital, Kajen District Lebaksiu. The results of this research show that: In building a sakinah family, there is a need for clarity in the relationship between husband and wife in the division of roles that are the husband's responsibility and the wife's responsibility. And career partners at Hawari Essa Kajen Hospital are able to divide and carry out their roles, both instrumental and emotional roles well.
