Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of active learning strategies in improving understanding of the concept of fiqh fasting in class VIII students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah. The background of this research is the low level of understanding students' understanding of fiqh material, especially the fasting chapter, which is caused by the dominance of the lecture method and the low involvement of students in the learning process. lecture method and low student involvement in the learning process. The method used is descriptive qualitative research with the approach of approach and literature review. The results showed that the application of active learning strategies such as group discussions, presentations, demonstrations, problem-based learning, and educational games can significantly increase students' participation and understanding.
