Strategi Reward dan Punishment dalam Membentuk Karakter Disiplin Santri di Pondok Pesantren Al-Amin Bulakwaru Tarub

The development of education today has seen tremendous progress in terms of both methods and supporting technology in the learning process, thereby requiring human resources to possess high quality. In this regard, there is a need to improve quality, one of which is through education. Education serves as a tool to enhance human resource capabilities through the high discipline inherent within it. In this effort, education can shape the character of discipline, one of which is through the reward and punishment method, as applied in the Al-Amin Bulakwaru Tarub Islamic boarding school, which is able to implement reward and punishment in the discipline of its students. The purpose of this observation is to understand reward and punishment in shaping the character of student discipline. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. The researcher collected data through interviews, documentation, and observation to describe it. The results of this study indicate that in the context of students or boarding school students at the secondary education level, religious activities in the form of istigasah and regular dhuha prayers are a learning method that supports the development of school culture at SMP Takhasus Alquran Bulakwaru Tegal. Teachers are required to set an example through controlling to maximize its effectiveness.
